voice.Vox Erth is an urgent call to all musicians, writers, artists and fans to pledge one hour per week to create media that is a voice (vox) for our exquisite biosphere.Ways to join Vox Erth:: 1/ If you are a songwriter, artist or writer, collaborate with others to create media about an eco issue that concerns you -- and invite fans to sponsor your media. 2/ If you are a fan, ask your favorite musicians, artists or writers to create media that focuses on eco issues that you care about -- and offer to sponsor their work. 3/ Pledge one hour per week to create, promote or fund your chosen eco media project. 4/ Stay connected via VoxErth Facebook and the Newsletter. 5/ Print and sign the Vox Erth pledge/ member card, and give some to friends. All Music Fans: Appeal to your favorite local and national musicians to create and perform Earth conscious music. Write, email and talk to your favorite musician about the importance of writing and performing environmental songs.What is music worth if our air and our brains are soaked with toxins? Give your favorite musicians an update on an issue that you would like them to compose and perform an environmental song for. All Musicians: Contact a local or national enviro group. Compose and sing about ecological issues. Create an EP/CD to benefit the organization, for someone you love, and for a billion life forms that celebrate life. Create your own environmental songs and fire-up your music career. Your enviro music could be a great media hook in conjunction with your EP, CD, future gigs or on the web. All Songwriters, Poets and Writers: Help write the hook for a song that you pitch to a musician. Send out offers to co-write with other environmentally concerned writers. Pitch your earth conscious writing to your favorite musicians as well. Create Earth conscious lines to help protect billions of life-forms that are celebrating life. Let's drown out the mega-media materialistic corporate advertising slogans that are defiling the planet. An Ecological Music Revolution [emr] by Stele Ely at 140 Hit Songs For The Planet This is not to say that every musician should become known as an environmental activist. But it is to say, if the deadly corporate consumeristic mantras being repeated by the average citizen are ever to be replaced with pro-active, loving, Earth conscious mantras, then every musician who has an Earth conscious perspective needs to have at least three or four songs in their repertoire that reflects this perspective. Before technology and mass marketing came along, it was not critical that musicians with an environmental conscious take an environmental stand. It is very different now. Millions of corporation's are getting many of us to sing: "buy your way to happiness" ... "material items will set you free" ... "consume more: forget the planet" ... "buy junk now: ignore the ecological results"... "ultra disposable items will set you free". All the while, these same individuals seldom hear music to sing along with that honors the Earth and its life. One great eco song, ballad, CD or media project has the potential to save your life plus a few million other life forms as well. Music Fans, Songwriters, Musicians and Writers have the power to manifest... ... an *ecological music revolution*.
